We met while Jeri was on a mission trip to Canada and the rest is history as they say. A boy from Beamsville (Ontario) and a girl from Cheyenne. We were married May 20, 2000 we have enjoyed the many joys of marriage. One of our greatest joys came July 1, 2005 with the birth of our daughter Hannah. For us the story continues with a mission. Starting in 2006 we will serve as missionaries in Alotau, Papua New Guinea.

The Ford Grandparents Visit Houston

We shared a lot of love, happiness, and sickness while Craig's parents were here for a visit this past week. I had a cold a couple of weeks ago. Then Hannah caught it. Next she gave it to Craig, who gave it back to me. Grandma Ford left on Sunday coughing and blowing her nose and it'll be a miracle if Grandpa Ford left healthy! Besides the sickness, we had a great time together. Craig and I even had a chance to go on a date! We went to see The Chronicles of Narnia. We took about half a box of tissues with us... no! not because we intended to cry! We were both sick. (I always blew my nose on a noisy part of the movie so as not to disturb others around me.) Thanks to Grandma for watching Hannah during our little outing! We wanted to go to the beach at Galveston, but didn't go because of everyone being sick. After being in the 70s and 80s, the temperatures in Houston actually plunged to freezing a couple of times too, so that made our decision a little easier.
Thanks for visiting us, Grandma and Grandpa Ford!

Trip to Wyoming

Hannah and I got to fly to Wyoming from Feb. 2-7 to spend time with my family. They were so excited to see Hannah. (I guess they were glad to see me, too.) Craig stayed home and hoped that Hannah wouldn't say "Dada" while we were away. She didn't say "Dada", but she did start waving at people and pulling her knees up under her to try and crawl. While we were in Wyoming, Hannah visited her grandparents at work. Grandma works at an elementary school. Hannah loved all of the kids and practiced her "princess wave" (as Grandma called it) a lot. She also was fortunate to visit Grandpa's work. How many 7-month-olds do you know that have already been in a funeral home?
Hannah also enjoyed spending time
with Uncle John, Aunt Jennifer, and Aunt Marryann. Although they don't live in Cheyenne, we were also able to see my brother, Philip, and my sister, Teri. We had a ton of fun, but of course we wish Daddy could've gone with us. On our plane ride home, there were only about 40 passengers, so we had tons of space to ourselves. Hannah got to sleep on the seat next to me. She is becoming quite the traveller. I think we need to get her a frequent flyer card soon!
