We met while Jeri was on a mission trip to Canada and the rest is history as they say. A boy from Beamsville (Ontario) and a girl from Cheyenne. We were married May 20, 2000 we have enjoyed the many joys of marriage. One of our greatest joys came July 1, 2005 with the birth of our daughter Hannah. For us the story continues with a mission. Starting in 2006 we will serve as missionaries in Alotau, Papua New Guinea.

Out and About

We went to Niagra Falls on Thursday when Caleb was just 4 days old.

Caleb is already a happy baby - 3 days old!

Excited Hannah!!!

It has been a tiring, yet wonderful first 5 days with Caleb. We wonder what we will do when we do not have Grandparents around to help us out! They have given us some time for much-needed naps and have given Hannah extra special attention. My mom visited from Cheyenne, WY and we were thankful to have her here. Thank you for coming, Mom! It was a really special time. Craig's parents have been wonderful to have around. We are looking forward to spending this next week with them before we head to Wyoming next Saturday.

Caleb James Ford

Jeri less than 18 hours before giving birth.

On July 21st, Jeri's due date, we were privileged to attend the wedding of my brother, Trevor, and his new wife, Sarah. We had a wonderful and tiring time at the wedding. We arrived home at 12:30 a.m. and it was 1 before we went to bed. Jeri, making full use of her maternal instinct, remarked that she thought she was going to go to the hospital that night but she was too tired. She was unable to get much rest because at 3 a.m. she started having contractions and by 4 a.m. we were at the hospital. Little Caleb decided he wasn't in too much of a rush initially so we were sent home at 8:30 a.m. By 11 a.m. the contractions were getting more severe so we went back to the hospital. At 12:24 p.m. Caleb James Ford was born weighing 7 pounds 9 ounces. He was 20.75 inches long.

Anyone else think Caleb looks exactly like his big sister Hannah?

We were fortunate to have Caleb's great grandpa come to visit. He was down for Trevor's wedding, but wasn't about to miss the chance to see his newest great grand child. Great grandpa Merv is 90 years old.

Hannah was excited about kissing and tickling the new baby boy. So far she is still loving having a brother in the house.

Is it just me, or does that look like a really big car seat?

Everything is going well 3 days after the fact. Caleb has already taken his first trip out to get Passport photos. Jeri joined us for the outing. She is doing great so thank you for all of you who have kept us in your prayers over the last several months.

Keep posted for pictures of our growing family.

Time is Ticking

We have already been in Canada for three weeks now. Time is really flying. We celebrated Hannah's second birthday on July 1. She shares a birthday with Canada, so what a place to be on this special occasion - fireworks and all! (I think we already need to count on having one more suitcase next time we fly, thanks to the generosity of everyone!) We were hoping to have already celebrated the birth of our second child, but I guess we just can not make that happen on our own timing. Still waiting... We have been enjoying lots of family time as well as visiting a bunch of different churches in the area. We recently enjoyed a trip to the Toronto Zoo, but even all of that walking wouldn't put me into labor. I have heard all kinds of wives tales, but does anyone think they have a new suggestion?? I mean, come on, I don't want to look like this forever! (see picture above)

Craig needed a break from all the walking at the zoo and joined Hannah in the stroller.

Now they're inside the car trunk!

Craig's parents are sure enjoying their granddaughters.
